ABOUT US

Land & Legacy Project promotes housing stability and generational wealth through legal and financial support.

OUR VISION

The Land & Legacy Project is building a trusted, community-centered model for protecting family homes, preserving generational wealth, and strengthening neighborhoods in Kashmere Gardens. Our vision is to create a permanent community hub where residents can find trusted guidance, resources, and support throughout every stage of homeownership.

We believe families deserve more than one-time assistance. Through ongoing support, legal services, community outreach, and strategic partnerships, we help residents:

  • Clear title and resolve heirs' property issues
  • Access homestead exemptions and tax relief programs
  • Create estate plans that protect future generations
  • Connect with housing, repair, and financial resources
  • Preserve family homes and community stability

We are working toward a future where every family has the knowledge, resources, and support needed to keep their home, protect their legacy, and pass opportunity on to the next generation.

Community members gather outdoors to discuss housing and legal support programs.

OUR MISSION

Strong families create strong neighborhoods. By helping residents maintain ownership of their homes and land, we are working to strengthen community stability, preserve family legacies, and create opportunities for future generations.

Through community partnerships, education, outreach, and coordinated support, we help residents:

  • Resolve heirs’ property and ownership challenges
  • Secure clear title to their homes
  • Access legal, housing, and financial resources
  • Obtain tax relief and homeowner protections
  • Reduce the risk of displacement and property loss

A multi-generational family securing their home ownership with legal and financial support.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Many families have inherited homes that were passed down without clear legal ownership, creating challenges that can put both the property and family legacy at risk.

Without clear title, homeowners may face barriers to:

  • Homestead exemptions and tax relief
  • Insurance coverage
  • Disaster recovery assistance
  • Home repair programs
  • Long-term property protection

Our GOAL is simple: help families keep the homes and land they have worked hard to build and pass on their legacy with confidence.

OUR UNIQUE APPROACH

Community-Centered Solutions

The Land & Legacy Project is built on relationships, trust, and community partnership. We work alongside residents, local organizations, and community leaders to develop solutions that reflect the unique needs, priorities, and strengths of the communities we serve.

By listening first and collaborating throughout the process, we help ensure that our work remains community-driven, culturally responsive, and focused on creating lasting impact.

Built with the community, not just for the community.
